Scamp

The scamp is an acrobatic roguish survivor class for use in old-school role-playing games. It is inspired by the original thief-acrobat class, Jackie Chan, various video game ninjas (and Persian princes), parkour, and my 8-year-old son who said he wanted his fantasy RPG character to be “really acrobatic and do cool flips and jumps”. 

You want to play a Scamp in your Old School Essentials or other old school fantasy game if you want to...

• be like a thief, but prioritize speed over stealth.
• run up walls or leap over chasms.
• grab weapons out of your enemies hands and say "YOINK!"
• jump off a height onto your enemies so you can "sneak attack" while shouting "BANZAI!" 
• zip around the battlefield in the blink of an eye: "Now I'm over here!"
• engage in hit-and-run tactics without getting hit back when you run away.
